Hamilton is known for its quality of craft, and the Khaki Field is a perfect example of that. The Khaki Field Automatic 38mm has a military-inspired design, and it is completely timeless. Its big hour markers bounded with the 24-hour inner dial are rough and ready, and are subtly classy at the same time, not to say practical. The big hour markers can also be read at a glance, irrespective of the lighting conditions. Also, it has 100 meters of water resistance, so you will be able to wear this piece on your wrist all day long, without worrying about where you go.
Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm
Hamilton uses fully in-house movements, and the Khaki Field Automatic 38mm uses the company’s own H-10 movement, which is a very solid and reliable movement, with a stand-out power reserve of 80 hours. This movement is accurate to +/- 15 seconds per day.
The watch features satin-brushed lugs, a polished bezel, and a fully stainless steel bracelet. It has a traditional 3 O’clock date window, the sleek hands are the icing on the cake, and they make the timepiece not look out of place anywhere. The bracelet fits the overall feel of the Khaki Field perfectly. It is not as classy as other options in the price range, but it matches the military feel and is comfortable. The overall quality of the watch is very good.

Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm Review
Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm is a great watch that has quite an affordable price. It has its H-10 calibre movement, an ETA C07.611 base, and a power reserve of 80 hours. So, even if you leave it for a while, go out for a weekend, and return, you can still slide this watch back on your wrist without missing a beat. The case material is made of stainless steel and the case thickness is 11 millimeters. It has a sapphire crystal with a few intriguing views at some angles within its curves, and it has a water resistance of up to 100 meters.
The Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm is a perfect representation of what Hamilton describes as a great design, great quality, and a great movement that does not have the bank-draining price tag. So, if you are getting your first mechanical watch, or you intend to build a one-watch collection under $1,000, the Khaki Field Automatic 38mm is your best bet. The watch is not as flashy as other selections in this price range, it also does not have the most mind-blowing functionality. However, it is the most versatile, the most dependable, and the most practical of them all.
Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm Lug To Lug
Hamilton paid heed to its fans and released a smaller 38mm cased version. With a lug-to-lug length of 44.7mm and a thickness of 11.1mm, the new version is compact, elegant, and has the same looks as the bigger 42mm brother. However, the main difference is that the Morse code is removed from the second hand on the 38mm version. Also, while some people think the Morse code should have stayed, it is an excellent call by Hamilton to remove it since it is not the same watch as seen in the film.
