FUNCTIONS DISPLAY

The following order in which the functionalities are displayed is:

  • Hours and minutes
  • Seconds  (displayed for 60 seconds)
  • GMT if the second time zone was set
  • If the second time zone was activated, it’s time.
  • Day and date (abbreviated in English MO-TU-WE-TH-FR-SA-SU)
  • Month and year (shortened to the last two digits)

 

 

TIME AND DATE (TIME)

To change the time and date:

  • Push the left pusher for a long time until “SET” appears.
  • Press the right pusher briefly to make “TIME” appear.
  • To access the setting, push the right pusher (short push) a second time. The first digit will begin to flash.
  • To cycle through the numbers, push the right pusher briefly.
  • After the desired digit has been shown, press (short push) on the left pusher to configure the subsequent function or wait for the screen to turn off.
  • Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each function you want to set, including seconds, 12h/24h indication, the year, month, and days of the week.Your watch automatically switches to standby mode after 10 seconds of inactivity.

SECRET DATE (MEMO)

With its “hidden date” function, the Casquette displays the date, day, month, and year.

Once enabled, it reveals the secret date once every day for 20 seconds at the moment of your choosing.

This lyrical feature will serve to remind you of a memorable occasion, such as an anniversary.

 

How to set up a secret date with Girard Perregaux Casquette

  • Push (long push) the left pusher until “SET” appears.
  • Press the right pusher short to make “TIME” appear.
  • Press the left pusher short to make “GMT” appear.
  • To access the setting, push (short push) on the right pusher. The first digital display will flash.

To have the secret date automatically displayed once per day, first set the time, in hours and minutes:

  1. To cycle between the digits, push (short push) on the right pusher.
  2. As soon as the chosen digit is displayed, push (short push) on the left pusher.
  3. To set the minutes, repeat steps 1 and 2 steps.
  4. Next, enter the secret date in the following order: year, month, day, and date commencing with the year.
  5. To cycle between the digits, push (short push) on the right pusher.
  6. When the chosen digit is shown, press (give a short push) on the left pusher.
  7. Carry out steps 5 and 6 once again to set the date and the month (the day is set automatically).
  8. By giving the right pusher a short push after setting the secret date, you can turn the hidden date display on or off.
  9. To confirm your choice, push (short push) on the left pusher.Your watch goes back into standby mode after ten seconds of inactivity.

 

CHRONOGRAPH

The chronograph counts down the seconds and hundreds of a second up to 59.99 seconds, and it displays those numbers.

As soon as 59 minutes and 59 seconds have passed, it counts down and displays the minutes and seconds.

The count resets to zero once an hour has passed.

 

  • Push the right pusher for a long time to make “00” appear.
  • Push the left pusher short to start and stop the chronograph.
  • Press (long push) the left button to reset the chronograph to zero.

Your watch goes back into sleep mode after 10 seconds of inactivity, and if the chronograph was started, it continues to run in the background.

  • Press (short push) the right pusher to display the chronograph count.
  • Press (long push) on the right pusher to convert from the chronograph count to the time display.
  • You exit the chronograph function when you switch to the time display, making it impossible to start, stop, or reset the chronograph.

Press the right pusher for a long time to return to the chronograph count and its operations (start/stop/reset).
